In a move that has left fans both emotional and intrigued, Sporting Kansas City has bid farewell to a beloved homegrown hero, trading forward Daniel Salloi to Toronto FC for a substantial sum of up to $1 million in General Allocation Money (GAM). I’ve made lifelong friends, met my partner, and even started a business here. I’ll always be proud to call myself a Sporting KC Homegrown player.”

With 67 goals and 47 assists in 287 appearances, he leaves as the second-highest scorer in club history, tied with legends like Dom Dwyer and Johnny Russell. His 17 game-winning goals in the regular season are unmatched, and his role in the 2017 U.S. Open Cup victory—scoring the game-winner in the final—will forever be etched in club lore.
