Bold headline: Braves fans in 26 Southeastern markets will get 15 spring training games free on Gray local TV, expanding access and hype around the team.
The Braves and Gray Media announced an expanded spring training broadcast slate Friday, offering 15 games across Gray-affiliated stations that will reach 26 Southeast markets.
The televised spring training schedule includes the Braves vs. Twins (Feb. 22), vs. Tigers (Feb. 24), vs. Pirates (Feb. 25), vs. Yankees (Feb. 26), vs. Red Sox (Feb. 27), vs. Rays (Mar. 1), vs. Colombia (Mar. 4), vs. Blue Jays (Mar. 5), vs. Orioles (Mar. 7), vs. Pirates (Mar. 12), vs. Yankees (Mar. 13), and vs. Red Sox (Mar. 14, 17, and 21). The lineup also features the Spring Breakout game: Braves prospects versus Yankees prospects on Mar. 21.
Derek Schiller, Braves president & CEO, commented that the team remains dedicated to making Braves baseball widely accessible. He noted the strong response to the prior Gray partnership and highlighted that the expanded spring training coverage will bring fans closer to the action. The 15-game slate will be available free across the Southeast as part of the ongoing collaboration with Gray.
In addition, Gray will air a 10-episode series titled Celebrating ’21, recounting the Braves’ 2021 World Series championship. The program will air before select spring training matchups and feature commentary from former Braves manager Brian Snitker, with narration by Braves announcer Ben Ingram.
